Quick Questions
Q: What’s your genius?
Nick Bradley: Problem solving.
Q: What drives you every day?
Nick Bradley: My family.
Q: What’s an unpopular opinion you hold?
Nick Bradley: Private equity isn’t as bad as people think.
Q: What’s the most significant risk you’ve taken?
Nick Bradley: In 2018, I decided to leave private equity without a plan, unsure how I’d support my family. It was like jumping off a cliff and trusting myself to figure it out.
Q: How do you measure success?
Nick Bradley: It’s about how much time I have to do what I want, combined with the impact I make on others. I used to only focus on making money, but now it’s about helping people and living a balanced life.
Q: What’s the most recent skill you’ve acquired?
Nick Bradley: Copywriting. I’ve been experimenting with it, especially on LinkedIn, to better understand how to communicate and influence through the written word.
Q: What’s your biggest source of inspiration?
Nick Bradley: My grandfather and my father. My grandfather taught me grit and determination—he ran a marathon after a double bypass. My father, who I reconnected with later in life, taught me about being present and the value of entrepreneurship.
Q: What’s the worst business advice you’ve received?
Nick Bradley: Focus more on revenue than profit.
Q: What’s the biggest myth in business?
Nick Bradley: That entrepreneurship is for everyone. It’s not. It’s for those who can embrace risk, uncertainty, and the emotional highs and lows that come with it. Maybe 1% of people are suited for it.
Q: What’s your view on entrepreneurship?
Nick Bradley: True entrepreneurship isn’t just about creating your own income. It’s about solving meaningful problems and doing whatever it takes to achieve that outcome. It’s rewarding but extremely challenging, and it’s not for everyone.
